Virtual Wilderness Spirit Award Event & Fundraiser

You're invited to join the Wildling Museum in honoring our Wilderness Spirit Awardee, renowned underwater photographer Richard Salas on Sunday, June 6, 2021, 4 p.m.!

Richard has spent a lifetime under water, capturing amazing images of marine creatures large and small, plus has written and published three gorgeous books documenting his adventures. He is a passionate advocate for the oceans and their inhabitants, and embodies the values of the Wildling Museum. We are thrilled to be hosting Richard for this virtual tribute.

Guests will enjoy an inspiring virtual event featuring live and prerecorded tributes to Richard, as well as a live presentation by the man of the hour himself, along with some incredible underwater video footage!

0 to 60: An Underwater Adventure from the Equator to Alaska

Richard Salas is a California native with a lifelong passion for diving and the underwater world. A graduate from Brooks Institute of Photography, he was mentored by Ernest Brooks II. In this show you swam along with Salas as he traveled from the Equator to Alaska visiting the creatures that call the Pacific Ocean home.

Wildlings From the Deep: An Exhibition of Undersea Photography

Diving into the undersea world for the first time, the Wildling Art Museum showcases the work of three exceptional photographers in the exhibition Wildlings from the Deep. With a cast of ocean-going personalities, both micro and macroscopic, each artist captures unique aspects of the diverse and elegant watery world that comprises an amazingly complex ecosystem.
