The California Nature Art Museum is pleased to present Yosemite: Sanctuary in Stone, a solo exhibition by award-winning nature and landscape photographer William Neill on view March 8th 2025 through September 1st 2025. Featuring more than 40 photographs and spanning over 41 years (1982-2023), this magnificent exhibition showcases Neill’s extensive and longstanding dedication to the beauty of one of California’s first National Parks, celebrating everything from its grand vistas to the tiniest and most intimate details.

Yosemite National Park was first established on October 1st, 1890 by an Act of Congress, protected for the purpose of both preservation and recreation. The park is famous for its waterfalls – including Yosemite Falls, which is the tallest waterfall in North America - meadows, high country lakes, and the granite domes that Neill so spectacularly captures. The park encompasses over 700,000 acres in the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, with approximately 95% of the land including federally designated wilderness.

Today, approximately 4 million people visit Yosemite National Park, each year.
