Wild Things Photography Competition
Together, the Wildling Museum of Art and Nature and the Santa Barbara Zoo presented a photography competition. The theme for the 2018 exhibit was “The Wild Things of the Santa Barbara Zoo”. Accepted images were on display in the Zoo’s Volentine Family Gallery in the Discovery Pavilion.
The goal was to capture the character and individuality of the animals that live and play at the Santa Barbara Zoo. From small to large, all the animals were ready for their close up.

Eligibility:
The Adult category was open to all artists, 18 years or older, as of October 20, 2017.
The Junior category was open to all artists, 17 years or younger, as of October 20, 2017.
Wildling and Zoo Board of Directors, Staff, and their spouses and children were not eligible for entry.
Prizes and Awards:
In the Adult Category,
Three awards were be announced at the exhibition opening:
First Place: Membership to each organization, Zoo train and giraffe feeding passes, $25 gift card to each organization’s gift store, Artwork made by one of the Zoo’s animals
Second Place: Family 4 pack of entries to each organization, Zoo train & giraffe feeding passes, gifts from each organization’s gift shop
Third Place: 2 passes to each organization, gifts from each organization’s gift store
