October 19, 2013 - January 6, 2014

The Wildling hosted an exhibition about Santa Barbara County's Santa Ynez River graced with artwork by the amazing Oak Group. With its headwaters at the border with Ventura County and its mouth draining into Surf Beach in Lompoc, the river is a vital natural resource for our county and is also a cultural treasure.

With The Oak Group, the museum hosted an art show and sale of original work done of the river and watershed. The Wildling has also worked with other groups throughout the county to tell the story of the river. Thanks are due to the Environmental Defense Center, the Santa Ynez Historical Museum, the Lompoc Historical Museum, La Purisima Audubon Society, the Santa Ynez Natural History Society and others for their help in sharing their knowledge and resources.
