Mixed Media Artist, Sol Hill
Sol recently completed a residency at the prestigious Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA. After earning an MFA from Brooks Institute in Photography, Sol was mentored by Nathan Vonk, the new owner of Sullivan Goss, in the art of marketing. Sol's art has since been exhibited in Los Angeles art shows, Photo Art, the Leica Gallery and in Chicago, Santa Fe, Texas, New York, Chile, and Washington DC. His art graces the cover of the Art Without Limits Brochure as well as other AWoL publications. The artist has an exhibition and work space in the Funk Zone. Sol is a member of the AWoL Board of Directors, recently being elected president.
Painter, Andi Schoenbaum
Andi's artwork is held in the collection at Chinatown Heritage and Visitors Center in Los Angeles, as well as in private collections throughout California and Washington. Her work at a Santa Monica gallery as a fine art printer gave her intimate exposure to Los Angeles icons such as Llyn Foulkes. During her time at the gallery, she received training in digital fine art printing from Mac Holbert of Nash Editions. She is currently working on portrait commissions, murals, and preparing a body of work for exhibition. Andi recently began an AWoL Mentorship with artist, Colleen M Kelly and is a member of the AWoL Board of Directors as secretary.
Painter, Sculptor, Tom Pazderka
Tom holds and MFA from the University of California Santa Barbara where he was a Regents Fellow. He is currently a Community Artist at the Squire Foundation in Santa Barbara and Chief Preparator for Santa Barbara Office of Arts and Culture.
Half Czech and half American, the son of working class immigrants, he moved to the US at the age of 12 shortly after the collapse of the Eastern Bloc. Tom is being mentored by artist, Colleen M Kelly, in developing an art community in Southern California.
Photographer, Elite Henenson
Elite was the first official AWoL Emerging Artist. Since being mentored by photographer, Macduff Everton, Elite graduated with honors from the Arizona State University with a BFA in Photography, and has traveled to Cuba, Mexico and her native Israel on photographic expeditions. Elite works as a full time photographer in Tempe Arizona. She creates portraits from her home studio, specializing in newborns and families. She also photographs events in the Phoenix metropolitan.
Art Without Limits (AWoL), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that creates year-long, one-on-one mentorships for aspiring Santa Barbara County artists, in any art form, by pairing them with professional artists to help them succeed in their chosen field. AWoL also encourages artists by acting as their fiscal sponsor giving artists the opportunity to receive grants and tax-deductible donations, and by holding monthly workshops on vital topics, led by business experts. AWoL is the lead organization in the free annual Art Career Day Conference, a day long event coming up on April 28th, 2018, for aspiring artists, 13-25 years of age, to meet and dialogue with up to 50 local professional artists.
