Ready for an Oceano Dunes adventure? Enjoy a unique opportunity to explore the dunes with exhibiting photographer Bob Canepa on Sunday, February 26th, 8 - 10 a.m. Bring your camera and enjoy a guided morning walk through the area's flora, fauna, and landscapes. Great for photographers of all skill levels, or just for those looking to experience walking through the dunes. Attendees will meet at the Pacific Dunes Ranch RV Resort at 7:45 a.m. and leave promptly at 8:00 a.m. to begin the guided outing. More details provided upon registration.
Registration is $25.00. Member rate is $20.00. Limited to 12 participants, advance registration required.
What to Expect
Flora: Attendees may see blooming wildflowers: Seaside Poppies, Crisp Dune Mint, Hooker’s Evening Primrose, Prickly Phlox, Pink Sand Verbena, Purple Owls Clover, Giant Coreopsis, Pismo Clarkia, Baby Blue Eyes. Area native shrubs: Silver Dunes Lupine, Mock Heather, and Coyote bush.

Fauna: There are several shorebirds, but inland, where you will be during your experience, will have few, perhaps just turkey vultures. Coyotes can also be seen, but typically only in the very early morning.
PLEASE NOTE: At Pacific Dunes Ranch RV Resort, there are no bathroom facilities and no drinking water for the general public, so please plan ahead. No dogs permitted.
