This summer, enjoy new works by featured local artist Kelly Hine in the Wildling Museum Store! Hine is a self-taught artist and grew up in Santa Barbara before moving to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1988, where she finds her artistic inspiration during daily runs with her dog, Bear. She is a member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of the West Coast.

About Kelly Hine

Kelly Hine grew up in Santa Barbara, California and moved to the Santa Ynez Valley in 1988. She began working with soft pastels in 2020 and became a member of the Pastel Society of America and the Pastel Society of the West Coast in 2021. She is a self-taught artist with no formal art school training.

Hine has competed in the Boston Marathon three times, qualifying eight times. She runs daily throughout the Santa Ynez Valley with her dog, Bear, and is inspired by the natural beauty of the area, which is expressed in her pastel paintings.
